On 28 and 29 November, the University hosted 500 students visiting from rural and regional areas of NSW, to participate in valuable university experiences, faculty-led workshops and opportunities to interact with current UC staff and students. The students mainly from Year 10 are from backgrounds traditionally less likely to participate in higher education and are from rural or regional areas. This initiative organised by Student Administration’s Widening Participation team is a great way to encourage students to apply for tertiary education after completing complete high school and introducing them to what the University of Canberra has to offer.
