UC has recently celebrated graduation events held with our partners TAFE Queensland and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU).

The UC-HKBU graduation event was held in Hong Kong on Saturday 24 March, and was attended by 57 graduates, as well as their friends and families. UC’s course delivery partnership with Hong Kong Baptist University, began in 2010 and this has enabled several University of Canberra courses to be taught in Hong Kong by the Faculty of Business, Government & Law. The latest cohort graduated with Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), Bachelor of Accounting, Bachelor of Commerce (Business Management) and Bachelor of Commerce awards.

Lawrence Tsang, Acting Dean, School of Continuing Education, HKBU gave the opening remarks and Professor Lawrence Pratchett, Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor (Students, Partnerships and International) was in attendance to give the congratulatory speech.

 

The UC-TAFE Queensland graduation event was held in Brisbane on Tuesday 27 March to celebrate the second cohort of graduating students from the University of Canberra – TAFE Queensland partnership. 67 graduates were in attendance to receive their awards across a range of BGL and FAD courses, including accounting, arts and design and the creative arts, in front of a large contingent of family and friends.

A number of UC staff travelled to Brisbane to celebrate at the event including Professor Nicholas Klomp, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), who gave the introductory address and presented the candidates with their award, and Professor Sally Burford, Associate Dean Education, Faculty of Arts and Design, who presented Faculty Awards.

The next UC Graduation event is being held in Ningbo, China on Wednesday 23 May for the latest cohort of MBA students graduating as part of our UC- Ningbo University partnership.
