A delegation headed by the Director General of the Royal Institute of Management (RIM), Bhutan visited UC from 7 June – 8 June to discuss renewing the UC-RIM MBA program. Discussions also took place in relation to Canvas, Marketing and Study Abroad. Established in 2011, the partnership between UC and RIM has continued to provide postgraduate education with over one hundred MBA students successfully completing the course. As one student from Bhutan recently said, “There is no one in Bhutan who does not know UC!”
Bhutan is renowned for developing the concept of Gross National Happiness (GNH). The Faculty of Business, Government and Law is working on a GNH project with the aim to collaborate with RIM to create a student mobility experience, short course and potentially Graduate Certificate focusing on GNH.
Professor Lawrence Pratchett, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Students, Partnerships and International), warmly welcomed the RIM visitors and looks forward to continuing the close partnership. Representatives from UC Partnerships, Faculty of BGL, Student Connect, Teaching & Learning, and Global Student Recruitment also met with the delegation during the two days.
