The library can help.

The UC Referencing Guide is available online, with printable PDFs in both regular print and large print versions. The guide covers a range of styles commonly used at UC.

Not sure which referencing style you should be using? Check your Unit Outline to find out what style your lecturer prefers.

Most common styles used at UC are:

  • APA and Harvard are the most common styles used at UC. They are ‘author-date‘ styles.
  • The Australian Guide to Legal Citation is used by the Law school.
  • Chicago is used by many architecture and design subjects.
  • Vancouver is used by some medical classes.

The Library’s Referencing Guide will give you more information about how to use these referencing styles.
